The work of Nu-Brain is built upon the specialization of advanced computer technology. Measuring the speed and size of brain waves requires highly advanced specialized equipment. Science has moved forward at quantum speed in the study of the brain, even to this time period being called, “the decade of the brain” with the knowledge that has been generated. This has been possible due to the incredible and even amazing advancement of the computer industry. With every year new technology becomes available in the research of the brain, and this Nu-Brain uses with our clients in our brain mapping and neurofeedback specialization.

Nu-Brain uses Deymed Equipment for Brain Mapping

DEYMED Diagnostic is a leading developer and manufacturer of EEG, EMG and Neurofeedback devices for clinical and research use. Some of the many features available include NCS, ERP, PSG, EEG brainmapping and digital video monitoring.

The TruScan systems use high sample rates and advanced design to ensure maximum quality recordings while ensuring ease of use throughout.

Other standard features include continuous on-line impedance monitoring, integrated patient database with full network integration and portable or stationary use.

  » Introduction

The TruScan 32 EEG system is a neurodiagnostic tool that combines state-of-the-art amplifiers with an intuitive, easy to use software interface. Taking just minutes to learn, the TruScan system truly allows for worry-free use. Built-in online impedance monitoring and sample rates of 4,096 Hz are just a few of the unique features not typically found with other systems. The system can be expanded to include VEP/P300/RT, Digital Video Monitoring and full PSG capabilities.

A Software Company
State of the art EEG software for clinical and research purposes.   The binding idea behind the NeuroGuide product is conventional EEG and quantitative EEG simultaneously on the same screen.  Change references and montages with a mouse click like the lens of a telescope.  Immediate and dynamic comparisons to reference normative databases.  3-Dimensional imaging with in depth analyses of the sources of the EEG as well as the coupling dynamics.  Visual examination of the EEG tracings is augmented by artifact removal, power spectral analyses, comparisons to normative databases, discriminant functions, multivariate predictions of neuropsychological test performance,  Joint-Time-Frequency-Analyses (JTFA), re-montaging and LORETA 3-dimensional source analyses.

A Service Company
Applied Neuroscience, Inc. staff is well trained and qualified in both clinical visual analysis of the EEG and quantitative analysis of the EEG (i.e., qEEG).  Services such as expert clinical report analysis and writing is available.   Medica-legal evaluations, including expert witnesses for deposition and hearings and court trials are available.   Research service contracts are available for specialized analyses and for the development of specialized software.

History
Applied Neuroscience, Inc. (ANI) was founded in 1987 and is currently registered in the State of Florida.  ANI houses digital EEG data from over 10,000 subjects that was collected over the past 30 years.  ANI also houses many MRIs and neuropsychological tests that have been correlated with EEG for both research and clinical validation studies.   The staff of ANI has either supervised or written clinical reports on over 10,000 patients, including traumatic brain injured patients, ADD, ADHD, strokes, tumors, epilepsy, depression and other clinical conditions.

Clinical Applications...

EEG Review - Full-featured EEG review including import of different EEG machine formats on any Windows PC.  Rapidly scroll through the EEG record, change the time base to display up to 3 hours of recording on one page.  Mouse click amplitude and time scaling and flexible grid control and color control of the EEG traces.  Facilitate visual review by computing instantaneous power, coherence and phase as the mouse is dragged over the EEG tracings. Event marking and event sorting tools, 3-dimensional source analysis of spike and waves and other EEG events

Video Synchronized to the EEG - Video review synchronized to the EEG improves seizure detection and behavioral monitoring.

Analyses- Localize spikes and seizures, remove artifacts, and highlight asymmetries and slowing with integrated Frequency Domain, Time Domain, Joint-Time-Frequency-Analysis (JTFA) and Source Localization - all standard in NeuroGuide Deluxe.

Discriminant Functions - Easy to use discriminant functions to detect the presence of a pattern in the EEG that is commonly present in individuals with a history of traumatic brain injury or a history of learning disabilities (Add on product).

EEG Biofeedback Protocols- Use the most deviant brain regions and frequencies to design neurofeedback protocols and NeuroStat to evaluate the efficacy of neurofeedback.

Nu-Brain uses Brain Master Equipment for Retraining and Improving Brain Waves

The Vision of Brain Master Inc.

“The BrainMaster Project is based on the belief that the last, most important frontier is the mind.  It is not space, not the oceans, or even the conservation of the earth. It is not medical breakthroughs. It is the mind, individually and collectively.”

Thomas Collura, Founder

Our Company, BrainMaster Technologies, Inc., one of the fruits of the BrainMaster Project, aims to help to put low-cost, effective electroencephalographic (EEG) brainwave monitoring and analysis into the hands of everyone with the interest or need and provides information and resources on the development and use of small EEG brainwave machines for a variety of uses. Over the years, thousands of people have used this project and the internet to learn about important uses of brainwave technology

Application areas include clinical and personal biofeedback, peak-performance, self-improvement, education, research, self-exploration, and brain-controlled systems, in addition to games, art, sports, recreation, brain calisthenics, mental conditioning and improvement, and virtual reality.

The universe is created continually by the individual and collective mind of man, and it is to that creation that we must heed. By exploring and mastering the navigation of inner-space, we may also prevail over the physical, external bounds that confront us.  By understanding and appreciating the inner mind, we may put the external world into perspective, to better understand and function in it. The vision is that we may become as aware of our minds as we are of our surroundings and bodies. That mental well-being, and mental fitness shall be as important as physical well-being, and physical fitness. That people will accept and honor the uniqueness and importance of their ability to be conscious and aware of themselves and their surroundings. That this awareness and appreciation can lead to an improved quality of life.

“The BrainMaster Project is based on the belief that the last, most important frontier is the mind.  It is not space, not the oceans, or even the conservation of the earth. It is not medical breakthroughs. It is the mind, individually and collectively.” Thomas Collura, Founder

To this end, it is important to devote ourselves to the study of the brain and the mind, and an appreciation of all the miracles therein. It is important to devote ourselves to the care and nurturing of the brain and mind, in concert with the body, and all aspects of the external world. It is important to develop, understand, and share the means of achieving these goals, particularly with the use of knowledge instruments, methods, and procedures that increase self-awareness and self-control, and that may help lead us into health and well being. It is important to recognize and appreciate our innate ability to become healthy, strong and happy, and to identify the means to remain so.

The BrainMaster Project is based on a goal of exploring the brain and the  mind using EEG (Electroencephalograph) brainwave technology, and sharing the  knowledge. It is hoped that this will be stimulating, exciting, and fun. It has been, so far.
